Tiny little sensors that help cars stay in their lanes, keep people’s hearts beating and ensure that bridges don’t collapse – how cool is that? The world and life are in a continuous movement, and our inertial MEMS sensors measure that movement – to make the world a safer place for us all.

We are continuously looking for new talent, and we offer students many opportunities to get to know us better and to work with us – for example interesting and challenging summer jobs and internships in product development and production support functions. At Murata, you can work in a truly global environment and learn from experts from various technical areas.

For University Students

Are you studying in the fields of physics, electronics, semiconductors, materials engineering, or mechanical and automation? You can find a summer job at Murata either as a Production Worker or in one of our Specialist teams. In production roles, you will gain experience in process industries and cleanroom work, and learn more about our production processes. You will also become familiar with our working methods and collaboration with various stakeholders.

At Murata, we also value life-long learning. If you join Murata after your graduation, you can still continue to study while working – for example by appying for a doctoral study path. Read more on Aalto University’s news.

For Vocational School Students

Are you student in the technical field? You can apply for an internship with us. You will be introduced to your tasks during the first four weeks, during which we expect your commitment for the duration of the two-month internship. The internship is unpaid, but you will get a free lunch. If you complete your internship during the spring, you will have the opportunity to apply for summer jobs in production roles, which could lead to a direct employment contract after completing your internship.

For thesis

Occasionally, we offer thesis positions, particularly for university students in the field of engineering, whose educational background and areas of interest align with Murata’s business and core competencies. These educational backgrounds can include physics, electronics, semiconductors, materials engineering, or mechanical and automation studies.

Through summer internships, you have the opportunity to find an interesting thesis topic as we encourage you to apply and deepen the knowledge and skills gained during your internship. Therefore, thesis projects are primarily offered to current or previous Murata employees.
