Are you familiar with cross-functional teamwork (CFT) — collaboration that goes beyond organizational boundaries? At Murata, CFT is one of our core strengths and a key way of working that helps us achieve our goals. 🎯
At Murata Finland, we offer CFT Leader training to employees passionate about driving change, influencing others, and growing their leadership skills. 🌱Graduates of the training can then put their new skills into practice by leading cross-functional teams. The training consists of intensive studies and a coaching phase with a personal mentor. Akira Konno, Senior MEMS Design Engineer, started the CFT Leader training in May.
“Murata Finland is a pioneer in CFT, but horizontal cooperation is also becoming increasingly important for promoting innovation at our parent company in Japan. Cross-organizational collaboration is also an effective way to survive challenging times when everyone is pulling together to achieve common goals,” Akira reflects.💡
Akira’s goal is to develop his own leadership skills and learn practical methods for leading teams. “The training covered leadership from many different perspectives. It is good to keep in mind that achieving results is about people, and that regular and seamless information sharing is especially important in challenging situations so that potential problems can be identified and addressed in a timely manner,” he says. “Next, I’m looking forward to the individual coaching and applying what I have learned to practical projects.”
Good luck and success to Akira as a CFT Leader!👏
