The Finnish organization Icehearts provides preventive child welfare support by offering long-term guidance to children and youth through team sports and dedicated mentors — from preschool all the way to adulthood.

“Problems among children and young people have increased worryingly. More and more children need an adult’s support in their daily lives, and many parents’ resources are depleted. At the same time, the finances of organizations and municipalities are tighter than ever, which can weaken the ability of those engaged in preventive child protection work,” says one of the Icehearts’ Team Mentors.

“Support from companies is vital for us. Long-term partnerships enable planned and responsible work for the benefit of children.”
