Murata Finland’s Wellbeing Manager Kirsi Nurmela participated in the “Makers of the Future of Working Life” event organized by Terveystalo, where discussions focused on the skills needed in the future working life and how artificial intelligence is utilized in occupational healthcare.
In the panel discussion on Working Life and Mental Health, Kirsi highlighted Murata Finland’s cultural etiquette as a supporter of mental wellbeing and explained how Murata, through its operating philosophy, has been a pioneer in corporate social responsibility.
“In promoting workplace wellbeing and supporting mental health, it is important not only to support individuals but also to develop the entire work community – leadership, company culture, and every employee’s teamwork skills,” Kirsi reflected.
Highlights from the presentations:
🌻 Use and cherish your ability to imagine – it is the superpower of the future. You knew it as a child, and you still do!
🪻 Artificial intelligence is here to stay. Don’t be afraid to use it; start small – you’ll gain an efficient assistant! AI won’t take our jobs but will give us time for more important things, like connecting with people.
🌷 Although technology takes giant leaps forward, human biology and psychology hardly change. It is important for people to be met as human beings. So remember to check in on your colleagues.
🌸 Important future skills include virtual working and digital teamwork skills, critical thinking, innovation, collaboration, and the ability to learn. Fear stifles learning, so it’s essential that we create together a psychologically safe environment that enables learning, where failure is not punished, and where we respect and trust one another.
🌼 When planning changes and measures affecting workplace wellbeing, it is important to involve those whom the change concerns. This is the best way to gain commitment. We are all the best experts of our own work!
Thanks to the event organizers and speakers! Here at Murata, we will continue developing our shared company culture and building Murata into an even healthier and safer workplace. 💪✨
